Description

«Us And Them»
The "Us And Them" series are pictures where the motifs can be understood as describing outsideness. The title is taken from the concept album 'The Dark Side of the Moon' which the band Pink Floyd released in 1973, one of the world's best-selling albums of all time. In the song "Us And Them", Pink Floyd describes the tendency of people to separate themselves from those who are different, in such matters as war, politics and social classes. Furthermore, I also get thoughts of being outsiders due to a lack of social connection, bullying, appearance, handicap, immigration and not least mental illness, which has been my profession for more than 40 years.

Monotype
The original of this image is a monotype, also called a monoprint or one-off print. It is made of acrylic paint on a gelliplate with masks and stencils, printed on paper. In contrast to printmaking, which is a general term for reproduction methods that create multiple copies of images, monotype provides only one original. A giclée is a reproduction of an original.

Giclée
A giclée is a high-quality ink print for fine art reproduction. The method requires lightfast ink and acid-free paper with a durability of several hundred years. I photograph and make photo corrections myself to have full control over the quality and exact reproduction of the originals.
"Giclée Fine Art Print" is a universal term used by countless artists, museums and galleries around the world. Giclés are found in the collections of most major museums worldwide, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
